pezsox 31 #1 Posted December 6, 2013 Does Toro still stock part #1789 - gas cap, or does someone know another cap that would fit? I have tried heating it, PB Blaster, even Loctite freeze spray all to no avail. Bill Allert 68 #2 Posted December 7, 2013 Take a look at these pictures & let me know if it's what you want. I had a few of these NOS caps they look nice but remember they were for a short tank. pezsox 31 #8 Posted December 10, 2013 well unfortunatley it was not the cap that was the problem... The neck of the tank was rusted away. I am now wondering if I should be looking for a neck off of a tank (any tank) and see if I can cut the old one off, and weld a new one on? Any thoughts? I am going to post in classifieds for a tank also, but who knows what that will bring. totally bummed, because the tank is great, it is just the top 2 threads of the neck.
