For a start try to determine the tractor model. There are 14 different 212-H models. Go to

https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro

and type in 212-H. They will all come up using Briggs and Stratton, Kawasaki and Onan engines. On the right is a link to the attachment list for each.

I had a 90 210-H. I doubt the attachments you see on CL will fit. If your 212 is the same as mine, the  the deck mounting is different than the tacha matic system and I think the 37" deck is all you can get for it. The snowplow mounts on the front axle. There are 2 slots on the front that carriage bolts fit into and a plate on the plow bolts on there. 2 bars on the plow extend back and will bolt on in 2 square holes on the floorboard near where your feet would rest. This is the style deck you have correct?

All the 212-H's are basically the same.  Minor variations in decals, engines, instrumentation, and seats. GREAT machines.

These are wonderful lawn tractors, but aren't as heavy duty as the larger - more common - tractors that the guys on this forum have a penchant for.  There are a fairly small number of attachments available (30", 36", 37", and 38" decks; 42" snow plow; 37" snow thrower; dethatcher; baggers; and perhaps a few other pieces).  The 38" deck is the largest they offered.  The 30" deck won't fit your tractor with the tires that came from the factory.

Like Mike said, almost everything you will find on CL used won't fit.

However, there are some things out there. On St. Louis CL right now are a pair of snow blades that will work for your tractor.  They fit solely on the front axle with a small tie-in to the tractor's frame behind the front axle.  They work quite well for light snow, but since the tractor isn't super heavy they're not well suited to bulldoze deep snowfalls.  If you contact the seller, perhaps he'll ship.  I'll PM you a link to his ad.  FInding the blades often isn't that tough, but many (most?) times they are missing the lift lever that came with them when new.  This style of tractor does not have an integral attachment lift lever, so each implement had its own provision.  Many times, they get split up.  I have no idea if this CL seller has the handle.

Again, these are great lawn tractors.  But they're somewhat limited in the other types of work they can perform.

Believe it or not my 210 did a HUGE amount of work in the 20 yrs. I owned it Besides mowing I plowed quite a bit of snow. After the superstorm of 93, I got and old Allis-Chalmers blower attachment and made it work on it and it did a great job. All I ever fixed on it was a charging diode and a tie rod end. They are great little tractors. Just not real popular.

I used a 1989 257H (17hp model) to plow heavy Vermont snow for over 25 years and actually wore-out the angle slots & bar pieces. Don'e be fooled that these horses aren't capable.

As far as a Snow Blower goes, After that big 93 storm I went to the dealer where I bought the tractor and wanted to by a blower. They said I was wasting my time that the little 210 wouldn't work good with a blower. What did they know anyway. :angry-nono:  They were Big JD guys and sold Toro for a 2nd line. I got the Allis blower for $100. I copied the snowplow mounting and made a 2nd bracket that the blower would fit on. Welded on another bracket for the lift rod to hook to. The blower was for horizontal drive so I just gave the belt a single twist. and rigged a pivoting spring loaded tensioner pulley. I used a Kevlar lined belt and that was it. Pretty simple really. I see those blowers all over. Same as Simplicity. Tat blower gave no trouble and moved lots of snow!  :)
