Jrblanke 857 #1 Posted November 28, 2013 I picked this up this week about 2 miles from NC State university from the original owner. Looks like a solid mower. Has 1535 hours, but has been well maintained and always stored under a shed. I think it is a 1989 model. The main reason I bought it was the rear discharge deck. I am tired of blowing leaves and I would like to try the rear discharge/sweeper method.

Sparky-(Admin) 21,295 #6 Posted November 28, 2013 Indicator lights Interesting...I had a 312 around that age and it had a small "pushbutton" for the idiot lights. I have seen the electric lift option controlled by a switch kinda like that one, but this one doesn't look like it has electric lift. Mike........
shallowwatersailor 3,213 #7 Posted November 28, 2013 Very nice and clean. With the rear discharge deck, you might want to look at the discussions on a rear extension to the discharge.
Jrblanke 857 #8 Posted November 28, 2013 Thanks for the replies. The owner said the switch on the dash was for the small plug that can be seen to the right of the hitch. It was for a sprayer he pulled. Are those the original tires? How would I tell? Thanks James
Sparky-(Admin) 21,295 #9 Posted November 28, 2013 My "1989" 312 had those exact same tires. I think the rears were 22x9x12's. Kind of an odd size. Mike..........

leeave96 487 #11 Posted November 28, 2013 Nice looking tractor! RD and sweeper works great, even if it's raining! If your grass is right, you can stripe the grass too.
