dewdew 10 #1 Posted November 22, 2013 Hello everyone, I have been addicted to red square for about a month now. Ever since I got my first wh. I have a c165 auto and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to get a small loader on it. If anyone has any advice for me that would be very appreciated. Thanks, dewdew
wallfish 17,485 #2 Posted November 22, 2013 That tractor can handle a loader. Keep an eye out for a used one or build one. You can buy loader plans from PF Engineering.com or look in the files section here for a post for FEL Plans. They are basic but the important info is in them

boovuc 1,090 #5 Posted November 22, 2013 Wow!! (Craig) :< ) Welcome to Redsquare. Loaders are harder to find for the ones specifically designed for WH. (One that will come with the sub-frame assembly and the brackets that will bolt right up to your horse). Many will buy a tractor with a loader on it knowing they want to move it to another tractor. Ark Manufacturing, Inc. and Kwikway made the loaders that Wheelhorse marketed for their tractor line. There were other loaders for the early tractors that third party manufacturers made for those machines. I think Johnson made a loader specific way back when. On or about page 16 in the manuals section here, (depending on your PC's screen resolution), under loaders, you'll find the manuals for different year Kwikway and Ark loaders. They are very handy implements but they do NOT go on or come off as easy as a mower deck or your plow. I found they are best suited to be used 100% of the time on a tractor. This is also a great excuse to have way more than just one tractor!

dewdew 10 #7 Posted November 23, 2013 Do you have any type of cost estimate? I'm wondering if it would be more cost effective to referb. One rather than build new. Thank you very much for the advice everyone I can already tell that this forum will be very helpfull in the maintenance and restore of my tractors.

WH-PWR 62 #9 Posted November 25, 2013 Welcome to Red Square. Just keep looking, a loader will turn up somewhere. You may end up buying one already mounted on a Wheel Horse, that's OK. You won't want to take the loader off or put it on very often. You will love having a loader on your Wheel Horse, you will find all sorts of reasons to use the loader. I have!!!
