JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,498 #59 Posted February 6, 2014 The stud is busted off and I want it to look stock and not weld one on If its the stud on the bottom of the tray it bolts through the frame plate, then the battery sits on the top of the tray. Whos to see it? Just saying and in my opinion. I actually busted one of those bottom studs myself taking it off. True story. Barely a turn of the wrench and boink, off it came. 51Chevy 66 #60 Posted February 7, 2014 Its the bolt that holds the batter in by the steel strap, if that makes sense.
JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,498 #61 Posted February 7, 2014 Its the bolt that holds the batter in by the steel strap, if that makes sense. It makes sense to me. The two little bolt threads that hold the metal strap that keeps the battery in place. lol Remember, I have the same tractor. Glenn

51Chevy 66 #65 Posted May 17, 2014 I haven't posted in a while but I have done some things to the tractor, I aunt the muffler out and got it coated, the motor is done being rebuilt and in primer, and most of the parts are in primer so last night me and my dad were at his friends shop sanding all the parts, it should be painted this week and I can get a roller together while he paints the rest of the parts. JT Burkard 4 #73 Posted June 28, 2014 The end result looks great. You did a nice job on that thing. And to get it all put together in 3 days, before a show? Icing on the cake.
Racinbob 11,291 #75 Posted June 28, 2014 You did a beautiful job on your 854. I restored an 854 when we lived in Indiana. It even had the HL5 headlights and seat back. Every year on July 4th we'd load up the trailer with 6-8 people and I'd pull it down the road 2 miles to the parade in North Liberty. I sure miss doing that.
