leeave96 487 #1 Posted October 31, 2013 I know a lot of this has been covered, but did Wheelhorse or Toro ever publish a list showing what models and year of make had which axle/pinion configurations? Thanks! Bill
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,102 #2 Posted October 31, 2013 I`ve never seen one. Toro has been removing many parts lists that we have enjoyed for years so thought I would try and post all the transmissions in the library. Will add the differential and axle diameter to the comments in each. Garry
64s 83 #3 Posted October 31, 2013 I did a list for myself of 8 pinion 1 1/8 inch axles a few years ago. I don't remember where exactly I got the info, but I went thru the list year by year to compile my list. If that will help you, let me know and I'll dig thru my stuff - I should be able to put my finger on it within a couple of days.

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,102 #5 Posted November 14, 2013 Think I have them all posted now. Go into the Manuals and do a search for 3 forward speeds or 6 forward speeds and all 30 transmission models will come up in 29 files. Change the Submission Date to Title and the sort order to Ascending. The gray area is the and Toro has not listed what models use what. If the 1985-93 8-speed transmission has 1" axles it will have 4 pinions. (Four 310-8 serial numbers have 4 pinions with 1-1/8" axles in 1990) If the 1985-93 8-speed transmission has 1-1/8" axles it will have 8 pinions. The 312-8 in this time period used both transmissions. I have a 1990 312-8 with the 1-1/8" axles. Interested in what members have. Please post the 312-8 model number, serial number and axle diameter so we can develop an accurate list. Garry
