I just did the front wheel thing on P'Chops Ranger, at some point somebody put pieces of conduit around the spindles to take up slop from lack of grease. I ordered bronze bushings from McMaster Carr, then bored the existing ones in the wheels for a tap fit. When I bolted the wheels back together, I put them on a spindle to keep them lined up. Seems to work fine and the wobble is gone.

I brought the piece of stainless steel for the patch in the hood to work with me tonight so I can get the 90° break put in it and so I can get it cut into the right shape

I got my patch for the hood all cut out and put the bend in it just have to find a welder to use. I'm thinking of just buying a cheap flux core welder so I don't have to run around and use other people's stuff here's what I have though

I also have the front wheels done to the bushing were very worn I think their about 1 inch now they alot of play in them and were starting to fall apart

I also had a problem that I did not think of when I changed the bushings out with bearings the bushings were made the wheels much wider but I came up with a solution that seems to work well I had two 3/4 inch collars left over from building sub 400 so I put them in first on each side fit perfect did not even have to shim just put snap rings on

Nothing like 5° cold weather about 8inchs of snow on the ground been out pushing snow all day with my commando 8 and now back in the house e-tanking some stuff for the lawn ranger life is good

I think I most everything painted for the lawn ranger and I ordered the back tires from gct Friday 56$ shipped to my front door went with ag tread I just need to get some decals and finish putting back to gether

Well I started working on the deck its pretty well shot but I'm going to do my best to keep it working. I've seen people use these decks with giant rust holes in them and only wire holding them together

I'm pretty excited when I was in northveiw tonight I went over to WH parts barn behind an old 42" deck I found another lawn ranger deck it didn't have any rust holes or cracks in but the gears were lock up but I can fix it I will post sum picks when I get it home

Got the tires yesterday so got them mounted up and put on I really like the way they look and you can't beat 53$ shipped to my front door. I will have my son mowing the yard before we know it

Just cut out a plate to help reinforce the transmission I think if it works well I will make sum more for the others

What type of coating on the muffler did you do? Because I'm going to put a stainless pipe on my 854 resto, I just bought a shower head muffler so I want to make it look like you did to your muffler.
