What will you be using this winter to clear the snow?

I don't know how to add pictures to an existing thread but I have the charger 12 with a blade unless it gets bad. If its bad I have a 1940 Ford 9N with a back blade that I pull it out of the driveway with.

Actually, sometimes I miss the fun. I used a C160 with a single stage blower and a GT1100 with a blade when we had 800' of driveway in the lake effect area of Indiana.

I don't have a picture handy, but I'll be using my D200 with blade...  once I get around to changing the plow mounting system.  Right now it's set up so I can't raise the plow off the ground at all, but I can pick the front tires a foot off the ground with down pressure!

    I had a very nice C141 Auto and that was the problem, it was all ways in the way for me. Every time I had to move it I had to start it. Since I am retiring this winter I thought I could use the exercise. I pick up a top of the line Ariens professional 28"420cc. what a beast. it can  throw snow 50'out buy 16' high I have  2 people at work that have this model and they say it is a hard worker Take Care  Gary     B,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Not a Wheel Horse but it will throw some snow and the occasional plastic landscape light.(Sorry Grandma). Its a Dr brush mower with the snowblower attachment 17 hp twin.

i will be using my 416H this year for the gravel and sidewalks down the street..

and my ariens 24" walk behind blower tackles the real deep stuff.......

 

 

 

it just loves this stuff, remember throwing it at least 20ft each side of the driveway on this snowfall, which was our freak storm ( for quad cities winters) 2/11.......

if you look at the pic below, just about all the thrown snow is out of the pic either side.....

Hi guys, I am getting back into the WH mood again after being gone for awhile on here. I seen this thread and thought I would post about my project snow remover. I picked up an old 32" single stage that has had some work and modifications done to it. The clutch idler pulley setup has been changed around so it will run directly off of the engine PTO setup on later tractors (like the later blowers do). I am going to put this on my Commando 800 for its gas sipping ability and use it on days with light snow accumulations. I have read others say you have to cut the lift bar about an inch and a half since this is a short frame tractor. Is that pretty accurate, or should it be slightly a different length? Anyone have a exact length that seems to work best to save me an extra trip or two to the band saw (not at my house). I need to make a flag for this setup also but I have a good one from my dad's 520-H and blower setup to use as a template. Thanks!

 

EDIT: I made the flag just now. Turned out pretty good I thought. Now to just put it on when I get home and take a final measurement for the lift bar.
