flyovrcntry 115 #51 Posted November 1, 2013 This is my new toy,as I said in a previous post I sold my GT14,so I had to get another tractor.I really like this 417-A,the ground speed is surprising.I pushed a little rock with it and there's plenty of power.I got my chains in the mail and am ready. Our winters have been pretty mild, but they say this is going to be a bad one,or as some see it a good one' BRING IT

C-85 710 #56 Posted December 11, 2013 Hi All, In Vermont, all we need is snow Here's our fleet of snow equipment, we're ready for anything! I just repainted the hood on the C-85 and I'm really happy how it turned out. I used PPG paint with a hardener. The Vinyl Guy was a super help in getting the decals. I plan on doing more painting in the spring after it warms up some. C-85

JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,498 #63 Posted December 12, 2013 MAN O MAN, you fellas posted some really cool pics of your snow gear. seems your ready to battle the white stuff and win. question: I like the snow cabs, where do you buy them? I would like to investigate one for my 416-8. Seems that would complete my rig. And if any of you have positive or negative comments on the snow cab, would like to hear about it. After all thats one GREAT thing about this forum, the accumulated knowledge helps us virgins make good decisions, thanks. Glenn

I've never used a cab on a GT so I'm no help on the comments. I would however like to try one, actually I would like to build a "hard cab", as a new cab, "soft" cab from OTC runs 8 hundy or so if I remember correctly. kaiser 100 #70 Posted December 16, 2013 anyone want to buy a 1 year old ariens 30" snow blower? j/k this was the first chance i had to plow with my 48 farmall cub (hey, at least it's red!) what a joy! i had so much fun plowing the neigborhood. i'm still going to need the snowblower though, for those mornings when there's a foot or more on the ground, but that old cub is a ton of fun.

Glenn I'm just getting to know mine, first year, but I can tell you exhaust fumes are an issue for me - and it doesn't help that I have asthma. It is nice to be out of the wind though. I wear a mask now to help with the fumes. I've thought about extending the exhaust up above the top of the cab - it may help.
