do you really have to scuff up the primer before painting the topcoat? we didn't have that much of a problem with spraining parts of our bigger tractors, could be the type of paint we used?

anyway really nice job :handgestures-thumbsup:

I'm going right now and hide all my rustolem cans; Oh, I'm so ashamed :bow-blue: . Zane, you're doing an excellent job, as good as I've ever seen. I am really looking forward to seeing the finished product. Happy new year !

My phone messed up while trying to post these. I also couldn't wait to mount my seat pan with a brand new stainless carriage bolt!

Where does this pulley go. I don't have a picture of it before I tore it down and I can't see well enough in other photos. Can someone help please?

Looks real good! :) You may want to search wheel horse 753 images (if you haven't already), there are some pretty good pics there of the pulley. That appears to be only an idler pulley for the mower belt (??).

Looks great Zane...did you figure out the pulley?  :)   I'm OK...going through a much needed thaw outside.  That paint looks fantastic. :bow-blue:

Thanks Steve. Gotta touch up the rear wheels in a spot or two. Not really. I don't know what I'll do. I wish I didn't need that pulley but I don't want my pedal to just hang.

A couple of pictures would help...it may be the same as I have on my 702.  :)  The idler pulley for the mower deck.

Not sure on specific model. This 8 spd came attached to a plow I bought. It had some water in it for a couple weeks according to the prior owner. I drained it, sloshed some diesel in it, drained that, then filled with fresh oil. Spinning the input shaft by hand, I can see the axels turn. Hasn't leaked any oil. I'm not really interested in shipping, so I'd prefer local sales.

I had a fire in 2019 which destroyed my pole barns and some wheel horse tractors and parts. i'm looking for someone who can use the engine that went thru the fire. It is not pristine but there must be some usable parts
please call George at 517-499-5678 for more info.
