LAST PLAY DAYS-GRANDSON

Hi Guys- It's really Football weather now-nice & cool for the boys playing. 50 years ago-I had my Senior nite on the Mishawaka Caveman field under the lights, my Parents walked with me as an out going Senior. What a memory...... This Friday nite.....My Grandson who lives with me.....will make his walk as an out going Senior on the same field, same Stadium. He already has Butterfies.    We had always planned to make this walk together.......but because of my health......I can't do it.   God has arranged it differently.  My Grandson has other family members that will make the walk with him....But he said he would wear my ILLINOIS HAT & ROSE BOWL PIN to honor me.......this is getting tough.....what a guy!  I told him it was his nite...these where his "Last play days", to soak up the memories....some day they will fill your mind and Heart and bring tears of joy to your eyes!  Here are few pics---maybe get some more later from that nite----and this song that really seems to say it all---life lessons learned. Small Town High School Football at its best! Mishawaka lost 28-7 to their cross town rival Penn. Penn is in a bigger class, more students, but our guys gave them a good game -tied for over three quarters. Nice evening-good memories-Thanks for looking-Al
