Ed Kennell 38,020 #1 Posted October 16, 2013 I guess because no one else was stupid enough to bid on this junk pile. Did WH ever use solid tires ? I assume you need a split rim to mount these.
stevasaurus 22,701 #2 Posted October 16, 2013 Quite honestly...that is pretty cool...don't know what you paid for all that though. You happen to have some great yard ornaments there. My wife would already be buying flowers to put in and around those. I do not think Wheel Horse used solid tires, unless it was in the 40s or 50s. (Ponds).. Seriously, I am liking those tires...good luck finding rims for them.

That'll make a big bonfire if they catch fire.
SousaKerry 501 #5 Posted October 16, 2013 (edited) WH did indeed use solid rubber tires, but only on the Trail Blazer Snow Throwers, at least as far as I know. There may be a few other implements that used them. And yeah you need a split rim. Edited October 16, 2013 by SousaKerry
Anglo Traction 761 #6 Posted October 16, 2013 Solid is the way to go if you want a tad more weight on the front without filling or bolting it on. Good find for a Buck!.....and no punctures.
CasualObserver 3,408 #7 Posted October 16, 2013 The first year of Lawn Rangers used a semi-pneumatic hard tire on the fronts, but they were the tiny ones, not those larger ones.
