semperfi8185 56 #1 Posted October 15, 2013 The remove/replace the power belt on the 100 series rear ingine riders you have to unbolt the transaxle and lower it away from the housing so the belt has clearance with other assemblies so can be removed from the pully. I put my mower on jack stands, unbolted the axle retaining bolts and lowered the transaxle using a floor jack. Greg Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,351 #2 Posted May 7, 2017 I have a 108 that broke the belt that runs from engine to mower deck (not the deck spindle). Looks like it will be a chore to replace. Does anyone have any experience with this other than semperfi8185? @semperfi8185 sounds like a lot of work to replace a belt but man looking under it that may be the only option.
