Rebuild of a WH 416-8

Hello,  this is a rebuild of a Wheel Horse 416-8 that I purchased 2 years ago.  It was listed in the classified as "Wheel Horse 300-400 series, needs starter, frame is going, make offer".   NO PICTURE!   So I offered $45.   I got an email saying it was mine, come get it.  So an hour later I was loading it into the Caravan.  Funny ... on the way home, looking in the mirror, the front of the WH was swaying side to side.  That's not possible.  After unloading it I tried starting it ... yep starter problem.  So I took it off, cleaned it, reinstalled it and still using it 2 years later.  Then my boy took it for a ride ... it looked like a bucking bronco!  The transaxle mount was shattered.  Then the rebuild started.  The PO also just had the shift lever replaced.  (fixed the result but not the cause)  Grandson Logan claimed this one also as his WH!  OK.... now to see if the link to PhotoBucket works....      ....      ...   http://s560.photobucket.com/user/N3PUY/slideshow/WH%20416-8   ...   I don't know why the slideshow runs in reverse!  This might be just pictures link ...http://s560.photobucket.com/user/N3PUY/library/WH%20416-8

That "Smart Kid" will probably claim this one too when it looks nice!   I got it running with a deck for $100.   Needs a lot of work.  Its better parts and the better parts from the GT1100 will make a good tractor for working with the like-new WH rototiller I got for $140.    I have to make a Horse as nice as the tiller!  I sold the deck to a needy friend for $50 ... it also needed some work.

Maybe he doesn't know you would get him a seat that isn't quite so yellar.
