bluetuna08 0 #1 Posted August 27, 2008 I picked up this jacobson branded brinly plow for $25 including the jacobson hitch...that would not work in unmodified state. I ended up cutting out a space in the middle of the hitch so that it would mate up properly. as you can see from the picture, the lift arm is on the wrong side...but I have a plan for that guy I took the horse and new plow out back and started turning soil. this works great!! I was surprised just how much torque an 8 speed has in low range! the chain is temporary until I figure out my lifting project details. Teddy da Bear 11 #4 Posted August 27, 2008 From the pictures.......that appears to be quite an "offset" to one side. It looks like the plow would ride right behind the left tire. It looks like all you need is a wheel horse slot hitch.
bluetuna08 0 #5 Posted August 27, 2008 ideally I would love to have the WH slot hitch but wanted to try out the plow. if anyone has a lead on one please let me know. I have been checking ebay a lot so I am keeping my eyes on the look out. also I need to get the proper diameter pins. I through in a bolt and an old pin I had around to try her out. I am very impatient!
bluetuna08 0 #6 Posted August 27, 2008 oh and it does actually ride center of tractor. I think if it was off to the side it would bind :banghead:
kpinnc 11,899 #7 Posted August 27, 2008 Looks great! I agree, you get a WH slot hitch, and you'll be all set. They do come up on Ebay often, and were almost as common on earlier tractors as the drawbar hitches are on the newer ones. Finding one should be fairly easy! Good luck!
