Gotta love that craigslist, saw a wheel horse snow blower listed at 3 o'clock and it was in the truck at 7.  $100 and pretty darn good shape. Still looking for that great tiller deal though ?

Alittle rust at the bottom of the shoot(?) so i'll take it off and weld in a new piece, other than that, good chain, bearings ect.

good eye there, i looked at the original manual that came with it and sure enough it says to install the side plates with the wings parallel to the machine. you guys sure know your wheel horses.

Haven't you heard that's the new way to mount them so you don't poke hole in your garage door, larger surface area so you just bounce off...duh!!

Did you get the lift tube and flag?? they are as harder to get than blowers, most times they are lost.

Just picked up $150 for the same blower, complete.

Hadn't used it in years since moving to a long gravel drive.

Good luck with the blower. "Let it snow", my plow (dozer) blades are ready to push!

everything came with it,even the original manual, and if it do's only blow the leaves around i'll crank up the 4 wheel drive 1910 ford tractor and the 7' blade can have the snow, or maybe the 1/3 yard bucket would suffice.

Gracie's Dad

You read my mind...where is the snow? Our neighborhood garage sale was Saturday, and a couple of hours in mom shows up at our house and says she bought me a wheel horse plow for $25. So we head over to the other side of the sub to put it in the truck. We pull up to the house and I see it, only its not a plow its a snowblower (#0642st04), including flag and lift bar. I get it home and run the #'s and find out its the right model for my C-105. I spent most of the afternoon in the garage "watching" football and hooking it up to make sure it works, IT DOES! Its got some small issues, but it should do the trick. My wife told my mom that I looked like a kid at Christmas dragging that thing around, I guess I probably did. :)

Ok, now I am curious. My 42" also has the same configuration with the "wings". But it was put together at the dealership. So, how are they supposed to look when mounted correct? I looked into the manual, no reference to the "wings". Also, mine is fitted for a xi tractor.

I think they are supposed to look like this---- parrallel to the sides of the blower housing.

Hmm, so then they need to be swapped and rotated?

I thought it was correct, and the reason was, to bring more snow into the auger.

Just an FYI- but take a look at this:

Exactly how mine looks now.

Wings also come in handy for storing it on end.

Squonk, how did you get tires to fit on the blower? How do you adjust to the proper height? Seems like a great solution instead of always needing to change the shoes out.

I put the tires on because of my gravel drive. I used the shoe as a pattern and cut adj. slots in a plate. Welded a cut off bolt for an axle. Drilled a hole for a cotter pin retainer. Got a couple of 4" wheel tire combos from TSC.
