cheesegrader 433 #1 Posted September 4, 2013 I got this last year, but didn't get to do much work on it until this spring New filters and fluids all around, new fuel line as well as a couple of hydraulic hoses. Gunk in the carb was the worst problem, but I finally got that solved. Some of you will recognize your work. That is Matt's foot pedal, and Smorneau's hitch. The Ag's are loaded, and there are weights inside and outside, adds almost #350. I drilled vent holes into the belt cover. Most of the heat comes through the top half, which is a good thing for my right foot! I want to put on a spinner knob and tri-ribs, but I am thrilled with it right now.

squonk 41,017 #4 Posted September 4, 2013 Awesome 520! I think with a loader you would be better off without the tri-ribs in the front.
KC9KAS 4,741 #5 Posted September 4, 2013 Very nice looking loader 520. Thanks for the photos.
boovuc 1,090 #6 Posted September 4, 2013 Absolutely awesome! Very nice setup! That has my 520 loader beat hands down! I was also told by a very wise RS member to avoid tri-ribs on a loader. Maybe losing the weight bucket isn't such a bad idea! I just need the iron wheel weights you have and they are not the easiest things to find! Glad you shared your pics with us! AMC RULES 37,127 #9 Posted September 4, 2013 Awesome machine...the tri rib fronts will make for easy steering with a load on.
312Hydro 474 #10 Posted September 4, 2013 (edited) Very,Very nice looking machine! Is that the original paint? cheesegrader 433 #11 Posted September 4, 2013 The inside wheel weights are Bolens. I had to cut a notch for the valve stem, but otherwise they fit into the rim perfectly. The paint is original. The parts that I had to repaint after working on them got Valspar Tractor Implement IH Red. Close match on the '96, not as good a match on my '91. It was very well cared for by the PO, but must have been sitting for a long time. Rescued from a garage in Chicago, now it runs wild in the woods of Michigan's Upper Peninsula!
