We did a little more fine tuning tonight. I was able to find a brand new made in usa Tecumseh carburetor at our local Lawn and Garden supply and repair shop. I picked up a battery at Sears and some nuts and bolts odds and ends. Mounted up the new carb and adjusted it. Installed the choke cable.  Installed the battery and cables. Wired up the lights. We are about done this project. Last thing that's giving us trouble is the head bolts. It seems that after running I can and have to re torque them.. I guess I'm going to have to see if I can find a set of head bolts. The head gasket was leaking from the PO so I'll bet that his head bolts were part of that problem..

 

With the electric starter that little Techy pops off with barely a revolution!

Will do a final photo shoot and post pictures. What a great experience this was.. now on to an RJ 58
