8 speed drivers ed

To all you auto owners that just got your first 8 speed.  Be careful when trimming and quick shifting from reverse to first at 3/4 throttle. If you accidently hit third gear and pop the  clutch thinking you are in first, you could end up on your back in the grass.   Just saying -- when this --- I mean if this happened to me, I would have to hustle to catch a runaway horse before it T- Boned my truck.  :scared-ghostface:

Really good advice-  Also, be sure you are not in gear getting off the tractor--with the foot on the clutch

getting off the left side--can result in a back flip.  Happened to me some years ago and produced  a neck

injury to C7 vertabra. Right hand has some permanent numbness now.  As my Dad lectured, "Keep your

wits abou you,"  Wish I had.

And for those of us that had to order a spring to fix the gas shock failure on our 300-400 series, careful on releasing clutch, or wheelies can occur in high gear also......

And for sake of argument use extreme caution going from high to low and vise versa or you will create a few new curse words like most of us have

OMG, A similler thing happened to.... Someone I know?...   Yeah, but it was with a snapper, I... He was coasting backwards down a hill to get re-aligned with the cut, so I, he didn't have to switch from forward to reverse and back.  Foot slipped off the clutch, thank god for those pesky seat preasure switches.  No real damage done to anything but his pride LOL.  Thank god no one was home to see that.
