biggredd267 0 #5 Posted September 3, 2013 Wow! looks great! I was wondering...My son's father passed away 2 years ago and I have this tractor I believe to be a 58', but I am not sure. It looks similar to this one here, but the shifter is in the middle, not to the side like yours. Otherwise looks identical. I will post a pic as soon as I can. Another thing...How do I find the model number on the tractor? I pulled the hood off of it and I see nothing. Is it possibly located somewhere else on the tractor? Thanks in advance. biggredd267
slammer302 2,155 #6 Posted September 3, 2013 I never found model number you can tell the difference by the front end

prondzy 3,883 #8 Posted September 9, 2013 If you have a serial number for the tractor it would be located on top of the frame rail in the front of the tractor with the 4hp kohler looks like you have a 61' 401 maybe one of the others will chime in and catch something that I missed. Biggred267 if look at the front axle is it casted like in the pics above (it will be a suburban) or is it or is it a straight across piece of steel (it will be a RJ)? Post a pic if you can so we can tell you what you have. By the way the suburban looks awesome

Coadster32 793 #11 Posted September 15, 2013 Nice tractor, and you did good on the tires. That's a decent price on-line, then you have to add on shipping. (I like the little one without the shoe picture.)

I went over to shop tonight to fix the water lines and i couldn't resist taking it out and mowing around the shop with it still one of my favorite workers even though i keep it on light duty these days
