Jake Kuhn 1,554 #3 Posted August 19, 2013 Under the right side axle( right hand if you are seated on the tractor) there is a small plug. You remove that plug and fill from the top plug by the seat bolts on the top of the casting. Fill until oil runs out of the plug under the axle. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
stevasaurus 22,701 #4 Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) There is an over flow plug on the side of the trans near the back axles...when you add oil through the top...put the plug back in when the oil starts to seep out that hole...usually about 1 1/2 qts, but that is the correct level. Make sure the trans is level...wheels sitting on the ground. 90wt oil...80/140 is OK. Jake...we posted at the same time...should you not be in school now...next week. stevasaurus 22,701 #7 Posted August 19, 2013 What do you think??? no... Are you talking about where the axle meets the side plate??? Are you sure that is where it is leaking?? If so...what does the rest of the weld look like??? This could be fixed on one end of the spectrum...or the other. Anything from a little bondo, JB Weld...to tearing it down and re-welding the axle tube. You really need to take a good look at that weld and determine if it is a weak weld or just a little hole. It is fixable no matter what you find...either a band aid...or a little surgery. A few good pictures would help if you need a hand. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
