Gary B.... I tried looking on the web that was no help. Only made more questions thanks
RMCIII 838 #2 Posted August 17, 2013 Unless I missed something in shop class. Doubt you will ever be able to convert "CC" into "HP". You can convert "CC" into "CI", but you still will not be able to convert "CI" into "HP". You can have the same "CC" engine putting out different "HP". Like trying to convert 6cyl. vs. 8cyl. HP ratings.
Kai Thomsen 17 #3 Posted August 17, 2013 Found a site on the internet that says it replaces 13-15hp engines, so i guess it's somewhere in between those two numbers.
Don1977 604 #4 Posted August 17, 2013 My 18 HP Briggs & Stratton Vanguard has 570 cc. A 23 Vanguard has 627 cc. The Harbor Freight 420 cc engines are said to be 13 HP. The 13 to 15 HP as said above should be about right the cam and carburetor can change how much HP you can get.
Digger 66 3,478 #5 Posted August 17, 2013 Too many variable's . Method of aspiration , cam profile , compression ratios , filtration method etc . For example , the Rotaxâ„¢ 400 cc single cyl carbureted SOHC on 87 pump gas in my wheeler , makes 28 bhp @7200 R's.
