js5020 111 #1 Posted August 16, 2013 Folks I have a single stage 79360 blower Im trying to put on my 16 Auto for the first time. Im not sure the belt that is on it currently is the correct one as the only way I could get it over the electric clutch was to take off the drive pulley on the blower, put the belt on the engine side then twist the idlers almost flat while putting the drive pulley back on. I dont see a parts manual on the site just an operators manual Anyone have a part# or a belt length? Im also having a bit of a time with the bracket that mounts in the mid tachmatic bracket, basically it hits the electric clutch when its in the tachmatic and sitting as I understand the manual, the blower was originally on a C-101 with a manual pto. Am I misunderstanding the hook up process or is there another bracket needed?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,031 #2 Posted August 16, 2013 The # 9750 belt is 5/8" x 69" Garry
daveoman1966 3,745 #3 Posted August 16, 2013 I don't think you have it mounted correctly to the tractor. Look at this YouTube video. This is how the 79360 blower should be mounted (even though it has a C-195 tractor here). You have to watch to almost the very end to see how the DRIVE BELT is rounted. Just copy / paste this link to YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjBs2e_sW4E
js5020 111 #4 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) Thanks for the help guys, Ive got a few pics to help out. This is the first WH Ive owned and dont want to just go modifying if I dont have something right. The first pic is with the belt on showing the belt path and position of the idlers/tensioners,, http:// This is what the spring looks like with the belt on,, http:// Its not that I can't get the belt on, its I cant do it without taking off the blower drive pulley, it just doesnt go over the electric clutch. Here is a pic of the mid mount crank handle bracket, note its position to the pin it would lock into, in this position and the tab inside I cant close the latch on the hitch easily and when I do it rubs the outside of the electric pto. http:// I just dont want to go modifying before checking to see if I dont have something hooked up proper. Thanks for the help. Edited August 16, 2013 by js5020
js5020 111 #5 Posted August 16, 2013 Another question,,, I also have a big spring, I thought this was a lift helper spring for a manual lift tractor, beings that I have hyd lift do I need to use this spring or is it totally unnecessary?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,031 #6 Posted August 16, 2013 Having to take the driven pulley off to get the belt on is not a bad thing. Most of us can not get the pulley off because it is seized on there with rust. You will never have that problem. Garry
Kelly 1,029 #7 Posted August 16, 2013 yup to get the belt on the pulley on the blower you have to remove the pulley or the 3 bolts that hold the bearing closest to the pulley to allow it between the pulley and housing, that blower was not set up to be used with the old elect. PTO, you will have to modify the arm for the shoot turning rod, by the way the newer tall shoot blowers are nice, you will like it.
