jeremi3210 717 #1 Posted August 15, 2013 Can anyone tell me if 62-5609 is a 702? If its not than what model is it. Thanks.
CasualObserver 3,408 #2 Posted August 15, 2013 jeremi, that tractor has an 8 hp engine on it... I'd wager that it was more likely a 552 that got repowered. The sticker is low, indicating is was electric start, so either a 552 or 702. The belt guard is not a direct swap from the Tec to a Kohler, that's probably why it was missing and a make-shift one installed. If it were a Kohler to Kohler swap, the belt guard would probably still be there. As you may or may not know, you have to have some sort of guard for the belt to release from the engine when you depress the clutch. (I saw that listing about 3 hours ago.) rydogg 186 #4 Posted August 15, 2013 (edited) I caught that listing early this morning when I started my morning horse hunting on cl....like Jason says it is repowered it is definitely a 1962 model so it could have been a 702 552. I sent the seller an email early this morning but since the price is so low it is likely sold or sale pending. Just checked the model number on my 552 and it is 62-9398 Edited August 15, 2013 by rydogg
rydogg 186 #5 Posted August 17, 2013 I was mowing lawn today and I missed a call from Wisconsin so I called it back and it was the seller of the wheel horse we are talking about in this thread.....I guess I didn't call back soon enough he said it was spoken for and being picked up in the morning so I asked him where it was going and I believe he said Marshfield If you got it let us know.
