Cole 25 #1 Posted August 13, 2013 Hi all, for the past 3 months I have been in the process of moving to Florida. SO I have alot to catch up on here. I have a 2000 something craftsman lt1000 model 917.271833. The mower deck will not raise over 3 1/2 inches, even though the deck raise on the side works just like normal, I have checked tire pressure and I have also tried tightening the adjustment nuts all the way up but I only gained 1/2 inch. GlenPettit 1,717 #2 Posted August 13, 2013 The 31/2" is probably as much as you'll get, the maximum height setting. Running 20psi in the tires will help raise it slightly more, maybe 1/4". There may be a little slack in the raise handle, tying it up in the forward up position might get another 1/4". Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
