Build a shepherds Hut

Recommended Posts

neil

I am considering building a shepherds hut in the garden as either a workshop or an extra guest room or just a mancave

post-2119-0-20785000-1376206060_thumb.jp

These hut are becoming very popular here in UK and are often used for   (Glamping) or just as extra accommodation in the garden .

I need to built a new workshop this winter anyway so i have desided to build one like you see here . They are built on wheels so can be moved around .

below are some pics of various types .

We have a freind who makes 3 - 4 of them a year on wagon frames,  Some are really done up;

Sheperd's hut or Gypsy Wagon's depending on who you talk too.

These  can make fabulous tool stores also

They are not too expensive to buld & are quite easy to construct .

Also extremely handy if youve hand a fall out with the Mrs

many often have log fires installed in them for cold evenings and winter use .

That concept would be good. No Planning Permission required and you can drag it around your garden with your Fergie if you still have it.

I've wanted to build one of these for a long time now. I was watching an episode of You live in What? on the TV. Its seems a lot of people are living in these full time now in Montana.

They are awesome little houses. My friend and I are making one out of an 18 foot flatbed car trailer so it can be legally pulled anywhere you want to take it.
