Starting Work On A C-120

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Today we have been working hard on getting a C120 running, it had been found deep in the back of a shed/barn and hasn't been touched for 3 years, everything was rusted solid, the tractor was reasonably solid, but the clutch and break was rusted solid, the deck lift arm, all 4 wheels where flat, and the engine looked awful,

We weren't too worried about the tractor at the time we just oiled everything up and let the oil do its work, we went straight to work on the engine, we drained the oil and petrol, blew the lines though and cleaned them out, refilled with new oil, took the carb off, cleaned it all out, took the jet screw off and unblocked the needle holes, put it all back together, filled the tank with petrol, charged up the battery, turned the key after a few times of it turning over, she fired up...

So what was an old no gower, is now a Nice running c-120 took her for a good test drive all gears, runs sweet as! Got a few pictures, not too many great ones as was more focused on working and getting it running before the rain hit,

Still only the 1 mark, technically, well it's confusing, after working on it for somone and getting it running a good old local fella said seeing he knows it will be in a good home and safe hands he's letting me have it, keep it in my shed with my other horse do what I have to do on it, work it play on it show it etc, :) but the terms and conditions on it are, I'm not to sell it he said if I ever want to pack it in or give it up.... before I sell it he will want to have it back, that's fine, I understood that, :D
