sunstrand hydro tow valve froze open

Recommended Posts

I have a sunstrand hydro (that sat outside for many years) with a tow valve stuck in the drive position, this is no problem because the tractor runs but incase I need to tow is this replaceable? my question is can this valve be replaced? Expensive part? labor intensive? any information greatly appreciated This Sundstrand is from a c-120 with the tow valve ON THE FRONT of the pump NOT ON THE TOP OF PUMP. The other part is the screwdriver slot is snapped off (previous owner) only way to grab onto is with a vice grip.

soak it in a good penetrating oil or ATF for a few days and then try and loosen it up

Try this stuff. we use it at work and it is awesome. Or try this:

Dad and I use the kroil with pretty good success. There is also a thread on here about penetrating oils.

Give some of these a try and let us know how you make out.
