SALTYWRIGHT 859 #2 Posted July 30, 2013 IF YOU WANT POWER, GO DIESEL. RUSS
Wheel Horse Kid 105 #3 Posted July 30, 2013 If you go diesel, you are going to have to make a few modifications where as if you go with say a bigger Kohler, it would be alot less work.

Kelly 1,029 #5 Posted July 31, 2013 Diesel will require a bit of fab work, a 10hp or bigger Kohler will bolt in with factory parts, but unless you get a complete engine from a WH you will have to buy or find parts for the swap.
littleredrider 409 #6 Posted July 31, 2013 Diesel. There is some fab'n, but worth it in the end. I use mine for mowing, pulling, plowing and prolly some snow blowing this winter. The one gallon tank lasts weeks, not hours, even while mowing. Oh and power?? Mine has a 10 horse, swapped pully's, and still has gobs of it....
