Need some volunteer Wheel Horse ambassadors!!

I got this contact through my webpage, and thought I'd see if there was anyone in the NW Illinois area who wanted to be a Wheel Horse ambassador to some visiting enthusiasts from Holland?  If anyone is interested, I'll gladly pass on the email so you can contact them back and make arrangements!

We are planning to come with a group of approximately 30 persons to Illinois. All tractorfans from Holland. We are planning to visit this region in Oktober 2014.

We wonder if you know a collector near Dixon Ill or Moline who has a shed full of tractors (maybe 50) to visit.

We are sleeping in Ceder Falls, Iowa. So a collector near Ceder Falls is also a possibility.

Stevasaurus is in NE ILL.  not too far.

 

Steve: We can get a big red sash you can wear with a top hat and carry various documents tied up in ribbons...

The only two people I can think of in NW Illinois are Martin and Joe Harris... but I think both of their collections are smaller than would entertain 30 people.  Joe is only about 20 miles from Dixon, I'm hoping he pipes up here.  Martin's a bit farther but not too bad.  I know there's someone else in the QCA, but can't think of who or if they have many horses.  Most of the really big collections are a ways south, southwest and east of there.

Jason, I would be interested in showing them my collection but I only have around 30 in my collection. Maybe we could talk some of the other fairly local guys into joining in? We relocated and are currently 12 miles from dixon.in rural polo.

i only have 7 and not really accommodated to handle 30 people here, but i could load up the trailer and bring a few to a location around joe or aj's. that wouldnt be too much of a problem...

i think aj's would be ideal, maybe a few of us Illinois guys could gather there for a 'meet and greet'? get a good bunch of them together......

 

Jason, i remember talking with somebody on the forum from the qca, but memory is failing me now on a name or location......

Honestly...there are some guys around the St. Louis area also that may be interested in this...if it is legit...and a few in Mo.  Was there not a post about a month back with a group looking to do something like this???  Just thinking...

You bring up a good point Steve. Do we know this is on the up and up? Personally, I don't think I will be sharing my address with anybody I don't really know. "Oh, you have how many tractors at this address?"....

Not saying this is the case, but you do need to be careful how you share info these days, I'm sure I don't need to remind anyone of that!
