RedSquare Canopy Bites the Dust

For the last several years at the big Wheel Horse show, my red canopy, along with buckrancher's canopy, have been the backdrop for the RedSquare group pictures. Those canopies have come to be labeled by some as the "RedSquare Tents".

 

 

I never set up the canopy for anything but the big show, but yesterday, my wife suggested that I put it up in the back yard so that if we had a little rain, we could still have a cook out for the grandkids. Well I did, and it rained.

 

I couldn't get the rain water off that was pooling on the roof, and than this.

 

 

 

 

The frame is damaged beyond repair. Looks like this year's tractor money is going to buy a new, stronger "RedSquare" canopy.

Bob, this is a sad state of affairs for sure.  My hand is over my heart and I can hear Taps being played in the background.  Some great memories were made in that tent.  It's memory will live on in many Red Square members.

        It was always a landmark at the big show.  Hopefully they still sell Red ones, green or yellow just wont work...

Steve, sneak up to the Bears training facility and see if you can snag a tent. Might as well get a circus tent. We seem to have quite a few "acts" at the show! seriously though that's a bad break. It's wasn't one of the cheap ones. Best of luck finding a good one. Might want to set it up before the show to make sure it's ok. I bought a brand new one for this past show and decided I'd better set it up before leaving. good thing I did. It was broke right out of the box.

I just bought one of these at Sam's Club....  It is Red and the logo ain't bad either,  for some strange reason they had a ton of them left at our local Jackson, Mi. Sam's

How odd is that .

I bought a brand new  canopy for the show i did at the weekend and there was a slight gust of went and the whole thing ended up in one pile on the floor , with the wife  & dog underneath it.

evryone at the show was laughing when my wife emerged from underneath , in fact it was priceless to see her crawl out with her hair all over the place .

You guys should list them on ebay now, under  rare, vintage, or antique.

Somebody will probably pick 'em up for twice what you paid for 'em, then restore them incorrectly.

contact the company and you can order replacement parts for your broken one. but this all depends on how many broken parts you have as this can quickly cost as much as a new one in a hurry. I found a broken one that was the same as mine from a friend, and I grabbed a lot of spare parts when mine broke. If you can find the same one, you would have spare parts.

It would be AMAZING if you could restore this tent back to better then original condition Bob...but if not...those Ohio State tents may go for a lot in that swing state Ohio...But I bet they are cheap...cheap...cheap in Maryland.

Just got a message back from the mfg ...no frames or parts available.

It definately is not a Wheel Horse.

There's a lesson to be learned here. I'm sure I will figure it out sooner or later.

I was just going to say, good luck getting parts. Paper work that come with the canopy:" Do not return to store. Call this number for parts" So I call and on hold for like 45 min. finally talk to some one and there are no parts available! Brought it back to store. If you buy a new one look it over good ASAP!

Well you could make a few tractor covers out of the old canopy

..... or you could cut it up into square jacket patches and sell them to us for $5 a piece. Wouldn't you all just be happy as a clam to have your very own Red Tent badge???
