horsesaver98 18 #1 Posted July 29, 2013 hello I am restoring my 1054 and I was wondering if you can tell me where to get the axle bearing for the transmission the part number is 1526
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,102 #2 Posted July 29, 2013 Believe that is a Torrington B-1816 that should be available from any bearing/industrial supplier. Take the old one with you for a sample. Garry

Martin 2,133 #7 Posted August 3, 2013 thanks for your help and I am only 13 and this would be my 2 restoration and I am hitting some road blocks but is slowly coming along just take your time and enjoy the experience. dont think that us older guys arent going through the same learning experiences as you. my first build on my 1054 was quite a learning experience for me and as you go along you make mistakes and wish you did things a little different.... hard to learn anything without getting in there and sometimes making mistakes and overcoming obstacles..... do you have a thread going on your restoration. its great to document as you go along and then go back and see how far youve come! heres my 'experience' with the 1054..... horsesaver98 18 #8 Posted August 3, 2013 martin I am documenting it but not on here I just don't have time to down load the pics and I really like your 1054 I watch the hole build and I still look at it for modivating tool I am going to pick up another one on Tuesday with some nos stuff and the big reason I want it it is the 2 oldest wheel horse dealers tractor and he had it restored but the motor blew up and now it is just sitting and he does not want to do any thing with it so I will post some stuff on it when I get it
953 nut 55,856 #9 Posted August 3, 2013 Glad to hear someone so young is keeping the fire burning. I have always had good luck with seals and bearings from NAPA, just take in the old one and they will match it up and have it the next day. Where are you documenting the 1054 build? Like to follow along.
