Recommended Posts

I have a wheel horse c-101 8 speed and I need to know what tranaxle oil to use.  Someone told me I should use 85w-140.  Is this correct?

That will work.  Just make sure it says it is safe for brass/copper/yellow metals.

Get an oil that is GL4 rated as GL5 has an additive that is hard on the bronze/brass components.

There are several GL5s that are now safe for yellow metals.  The stuff WalMart sells is one of them
