Englands704 4 #1 Posted July 24, 2013 just brought this on ebay will it fit my 704 ?
meadowfield 2,570 #2 Posted July 24, 2013 I think it will fit the standard uni-drive rear axle mount used, 704's are a short frame though and no sure if the lift link will work. Might be a job with a welder - expect the US guys will give you a quick answer!
Englands704 4 #3 Posted July 24, 2013 cheers buddy the dozzer is in the same county as you did you not see it on ebay ?
meadowfield 2,570 #4 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) didn't see it, guessing you snapped it up before I got chance! I think if you just offer it up underneath the tractor you will see the drop link from the deck lift will be a few inches out. It might work at that or need a little work... [edit] it's just 13 miles from me - not often we see horses that close! Edited July 24, 2013 by meadowfield

meadowfield 2,570 #6 Posted July 24, 2013 If you search I posted one a few years back that went for £750! I paid £300 for a 12" moldboard, 36" deck and 42" snow plough...
Sparky-(Admin) 21,300 #7 Posted July 24, 2013 Its going to be to long for a perfect fit. Might have to cut the frame behind the lift point......or use it as trade or barter material to get the proper plow. Give this a read for all you ever wanted to know about plows... ericj 1,578 #10 Posted July 26, 2013 some long frame plows can be made to work on short frame tractors. there are 2 sets of holes and the rod that crosses the frame in the back on some models can be moved up into front set of hole to fit short frames, but i have also seen were the rod is welded in. i believe if you make a new rod you can out in the front hole and use it for either then. all by the way the rod if not welded will be held in place by pins so it is easy to move. the center lift rod i think is a tad bit longer then the ones for the quick-attach long frames. hope this helps eric j
Tankman 3,518 #11 Posted July 27, 2013 okay thanks mate yeah not one bit of hesitation on the they come up rare so gotta get them where and when you can Would be easy enough to cut 'n weld to suit. Yes, good pickup! Once modified to fit your Horse, you will be more than pleased! Cheers! PS. Remember the 5th of November!
AMC RULES 37,127 #12 Posted July 27, 2013 (edited) For reference...here's a vid of my 702 plow and mount. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdZ7tyRpE-w Just remember, no ramming into piled up snow... or you can expect this to happen to your trans mount.
