401 Front weight bracket

Hi everyone,

I bought a 401 at the wheel horse show in Bieglerville. I found out the hard way why it needs a weight in the front. I was going to make a steel bracket and bolt it to the pre-existing holes on the frame and mount a weight on it. I seen a similar tractor for sale on ebay and it looked like it had a bracket made for weights bolted on it.

Is this bracket available anywhere?

 The brackets mike makes a very nice. He might still have some reproduction weights available too.

I made a bracket and attached a weight. I had some angle iron and a 25lb weight from the base of a floor lamp. I cut, drilled and bolted the angle iron into the existing holes on the tractor frame. I bolted the weight to the angle. Seems to work good. How does it look?

No, that is just the way it was shaped. It actually allows the wheels to turn too.
