SolarStallion 38 #1 Posted July 23, 2013 Hi everyone, I bought a 401 at the wheel horse show in Bieglerville. I found out the hard way why it needs a weight in the front. I was going to make a steel bracket and bolt it to the pre-existing holes on the frame and mount a weight on it. I seen a similar tractor for sale on ebay and it looked like it had a bracket made for weights bolted on it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wheel-Horse-604-/251308753735?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a832b4347 Is this bracket available anywhere? Thanks, Steve

SolarStallion 38 #4 Posted July 24, 2013 I made a bracket and attached a weight. I had some angle iron and a 25lb weight from the base of a floor lamp. I cut, drilled and bolted the angle iron into the existing holes on the tractor frame. I bolted the weight to the angle. Seems to work good. How does it look? Pullstart 63,263 #6 Posted July 24, 2013 are you a football fan? some brown and white paint could do that weight just fine
SolarStallion 38 #7 Posted July 24, 2013 No, that is just the way it was shaped. It actually allows the wheels to turn too.
