Spoon was free. I think it was the "syrup" that set him back!  :eusa-think:

Nice lights! Settin' 'em in the China closet I'll bet.

PS. Great library collection! Are library cards costly?

Looks like some very nice finds! Is that a letter above the second edition book in the last pic?

@Jake - yes... that letter and the second edition with the gold label were sold together as a special "limited edition" feature.  I think there were 150 of them, and the books with the gold label are all autographed and numbered.  I think the letter was a high quality copy of Cecil Pond's appointment as CEO of the company, but I don't remember for certain without looking.  I'm sure someone will confirm or correct.

That is cool...

looks like it's got a big ol' RJ watermark smack dab in the middle of it too.

Wish we could see a close up of it...hint, hint.   :handgestures-thumbsup:

Hey Hammerhead.  Good talking to you and seeing your WHs at the VGTC show in Ohio.   Great show for seeing rare makes of tractors.   I talked to the man who makes miniatures of full size tractors (Farmall, J.Deere, etc.) and learned that he uses Wheel Horse frames and transmissions for all of his projects.  Hope he doesn't use up too many.   Didn't find much in the way of WH parts, just a seat for my Rj58.    Great show anyway, at least until the rain showed up.

Thanks a lot fella's! That was a good tractor show for sure. Good to see some Redsquare buddies. The 3rd book was a Special Collectors Edition of the Straight From The Horses Mouth, and were in fact numbered and only 150 were made. Mine is signed, numbered and is Number 3 of 150. They came with a descent copy of an Announcement from Elmer Pond saying that Effective March 12, 1956, Mr. Cecil E. Pond has been appointed President of the Wheel-Horse Products Company. It is hand signed by Elmer himself. It features a watermark of a early production 1955 RJ35 with silver front rims and black rear rims. A Clinton engine with a Schnacke recoil starter. Also has the gas tank stand and the early lift handle. Pretty cool. I only have one of each of these books so I can't sell them, sorry Mike. The head lights are pretty rare, does anybody with a 1960 or 1961 Suburban have lights similar to these? Like to see some if you do. Thanks...KJ
