wheelhorse66 10 #1 Posted July 18, 2013 im just wanting to know how rare it is some one gave it to me and its in fairly good shape im just wondering is it worth fooling with
rmaynard 15,424 #2 Posted July 18, 2013 Not rare, but very desirable by Wheel Horse collectors. If you search the forum for "Top 5" Wheel Horse models, the 701 come up frequently in those lists.
Tankman 3,518 #3 Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Have seen a number of 701's, not rare in the "numbers produced" sense. Yes, rare, Wheel Horse history. No Wheel Horses are manufactured today or in the future. I believe the 701 was manufactured for only one year, 1961. Nice Horse, 'course the Wheel Horses are and will be #1 in garden tractor history. wheelhorse66 10 #4 Posted July 18, 2013 thinks i guess i will go ahead and restore it its in pretty rough shape right now but the motor runs and it drives
Wheel Horse Kid 105 #5 Posted July 18, 2013 Yes it was only made in 1961. There are alot of things that were made just for that tractor like the foot rest, mower deck, and some other things so that makes it pretty cool. Definitely worth restoring! By the way, Welcome to RedSquare!
