Redline69 27 #1 Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) Howdy Folks. Thanks for hosting, what looks like an informative board here for us WH afficianados. We have a farm here in SW Ontario, so lots of grass to cut. 3 Toro/WH models here. Our original 312-8. We bought it new, well over 20 years ago. After that we got a used 518-H. Nice, twin..lots of power. But it seems to have a rough running issue I will ask about later. We also recently bought a used 416-H w/hydraulic lift. Again, nice rig, but I have a question for the experts on why the lift isn't working. I'll post that over in Implements and attachments? Like I said, we farm here in SW Ontario. I also have a couple Camaros. 86 IROC Z that I bought new,and a 69 convert, that is currently under construction. Also collect old redline Hot Wheels, so keep me in mind if you come across any nice examples. Looking forward to learning from the community here. Thanks. Niederwimmer 32 #2 Posted July 13, 2013 I could always sell you one of the new "Hot Wheels" edition Camaros...just saying.
Redline69 27 #3 Posted July 13, 2013 Thanks for the welcome. Heh, can't remember the last time I bought a "new" Hot Wheel. 15 yrs ago probably, and I don't regret stopping either. I stay with the spectra flame years..68-72, because if I open up my range too much, I get too carried away.. Here's some of my Redlines. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/rdln%2A66/library/Redlines
Niederwimmer 32 #4 Posted July 13, 2013 Haha well I mean the car. The real, actual, full size Hot Wheels edition Camaro sold by Chevrolet. Totally worth it.

Redline69 27 #7 Posted July 13, 2013 I know people either love, or hate the new Camaros. I love them. My IROC Z. And my 69 the last time she was out.

Kawi? I ride a 450 KingQuad, and I think it's a great all around bike.

Here's my rides : I'll have to see if I can dig up some pics of the '86 & scan them off Kodak .
Sparky-(Admin) 21,300 #16 Posted July 14, 2013 I miss my 86 IROC . Mine was black with a tan interior. Only a 305 but it was smooth and quick! Mike.........
Redline69 27 #17 Posted July 15, 2013 (edited) Again, Thanks for the friendly welcomes. Looks like some fun toys there Digger. Your 69 was a 350 SS? Love the deep red w/black vinyl top. Here's the lowdown on my 69. Bought it nearby in 88. It was Olympic gold, plain jane. So I had the body done, and did a few mods to the 307...4 barrel, intake, headers, but the trans was iffy, and finally the flexplate cracked about 4 years ago. So I've been gathering parts, and found a built up 350 to put in the car, instead of building the 307 up (after much discussion, and consideration). But with 2 teenagers entering post secondary education in the next few years...and other things to soak up $$,( especially around a farm) the 69 has to wait a while yet. Unfortunately. Hi Mike, A friend of mine had a black 86 as well. He bought his just as the IROC was released (fall of 85),and it inspired me to trade my blue 80 RS for my red IROC almost a year later. Mine is a 305 as well, 5sp with the HO 4 barrel engine. Just under 30,000 original kms on it. 18,600 miles? I haven't driven it much in the last 20 years. original paint, heck it still has the original gatorbacks..which should be changed..I know. Still, a very fun car! Jrblanke 857 #19 Posted July 17, 2013 Frank, Small world! I have been on the redlinesonline board since 2001 or 2002. My user name is James b. I have not been very active lately. The last redline I bought was probably something from the Strauss collection. Since then I have been focusing on black walls and tomicas. Being 26, that IROC z is right up my alley! I joined this board to learn note about wheel horses before I make a purchase. Old cars, old toys, and old tractors. They don't build 'em like they used to. Looking forward to reading your posts! Redline69 27 #21 Posted July 18, 2013 Guys, I'm over whelmed with the friendly welcome here. Hey Digger, sounds like that was one sweet 69. James! Of course I remember you. Good to see a familiar face..lol. RLOL has kinda gone to heck lately. Most of us regulars now hang out an Anita's board, we call it CFR, short for Chickluu's fabulous redlines. http://www.chickluus-fabulous-redlines.com/apps/forums/ I'm an admin over there. Great bunch, as I'm sure you'll recognise many of the IDs. Stop by if you get a chance. Again, Thanks Crew!
