Thought that might interest you LOL  I still wish I had bought one when I had the chance

You'll have to make the tractor show next year. Supposed to have been  good turnout

I think I've still got enough extra parts lying around to do another, when and if you find one.

Just saw a nice, clean one, fresh out of early 90's storage, just across the Ct border...if you're interested.

Thanks for sharing your picts. Duane.    :handgestures-thumbsup:

When I was a kid in the 70's a guy the next street up from me had a MINT dark green 2 seater AMX. It had a 390 with a 4 speed. I remember his having side pipes on it. He didn't drive it too much but when he did you could always hear it. It was a pretty mean machine.

Not many around L.A. (lower Alabama), but the State Troopers had a few of them. One on display at Dep't of Public Safety building here in Montgomery. 2 ended up at an Army surplus store in Covington County. Thanks for posting.

Great example...see what I mean about AMC stories?

Alabama troopers were quoted as saying...those AMX's were some of the fastest, best handling vehicles they were ever supplied with too.

From a historical standpoint...can anyone tell me why the 2nd generation Javelins handled so well?   :auto-checkeredflag:

1st chance I'll go take a picture of that Trooper car in Montgomery and post it here. My recollection of the paint is vague, but don't think it shined like the ones above.

Sure they count Mike.   :handgestures-thumbsup:

Try this 1-2 shift in my buddy's '69 S/C Rambler, 390 four speed.   :flags-waveusa:

Probably not...if indeed it's an unmolested original, Alabama highway patrol interceptor.

I'd really like to see those picts.

Most of my AMC stories are from working on them in the shop. Delco starters, Motorcraft ignition, Ford transmissions, Chrysler rear axles! Thank God no Lucas electrics! :jaw:

"Recently restored" I never saw this color combo back in the day, too much blue in the paint. The  mural on the wall behind the display shows a plain jane trooper gray version like I remember, like the one above at the B'ham car show. Good day.
