As you can see there is a lot to be had here. Can anybody identify the two Horses that are in pieces? The one with the deck and the one without a hood? The other Horse I left there is the one with the big parade seat on it. I believe it was a C-141. I brought back quite a few pieces and parts as well. Everything by the chair I brought home. Everything else is still there. There are so many little bolts, nuts, and brackets that I have no clue about.

WOW What a haul! the tractor without a hood is a 1961 551. In your parts pile it looks like I might see a k91 and a rj58/59 hood. I may be interested in purchasing them, but I believe amcrules asked about a rj hood before me.

There are 3 hoods I left down there. One was a C series hood. The others were two roundie hoods. One was in pretty rough condition and was about the color of most Ponds I see pictures of. The second was in OK condition. The third roundie hood I found was the one with the big horn attached.

I'd be interested in an RJ hood as well if there are any left.

You got in a week what would take many years to collect! That is a fantastic collection with a plethora of extra parts. If your not into collecting than this is the place and people to sell it too. If you are or plan on starting to collect then don't sell a thing as Wheel Tractors and parts are getting harder and harder to come by ( at least in my experience over the last five or six years).

You live right in between two pretty big collectors that I know of... about an hour to each, east and west. I don't know if they're buying right now, but I'm going to send them messages to make sure they've seen this topic.

Oh, and would you take some more pictures of that generator on the 854?  That looks like it might be a Chimera.

Sure will, just have to wait until this afternoon when I'm home from work. What is a Chimera?

A brand name.  They were one of the companies that had authorized after-market accessories for Wheel Horse and other brands of Garden Tractors.  That meant you could use their attachments without voiding your factory warranty.

Chimera had a generator and a front mounted farm PTO that were authorized for round hood Wheel Horses.

Don't forget to look around the shop, or inside for tractor "paperwork" (manuals, catalogs, charts, signs), those all have value and I would expect there is a lot of them in a box or file somewhere in there.

Also; Wheel Horse tools and misc., they all have value.

What a nice 'goldmine' of great tractors, and thank you for sharing this with us.

FYI:  There is a big Wheel Horse "Meet & Greet* in Leesburg, IN (North of Warsaw) on Saturday, October 05, -- will be several hundred Wheel Horse collectors-restorers attending, -- you can sell directly from your trailer, as do many other collectors, and it's all free.

There wasn't a whole lot of WH signs around. I found some paperwork but a lot of it looked as if it was printed off of a computer, not much seemed original. I will have to double check again. As for the tools you can somewhat see in the pictures how much misc stuff is around.

Wow !!!  What a great find and practically in my backyard none the less !!!  What was the story on these ? Collector, dealer, or what ? I agree that there has to be literature around there someplace.

Thanks for sharing them with us !!!

If you read my original post "Barn Find" that will kind of give you the background on these. I'm new to the hobby but I'm gradually turning myself into a collector haha. I plan on keeping a few of them for myself and my son. The rest will probably need to find a good home among other Horses.

Haha if anyone is interested in the whole tractor let me know, I will let them go for a reasonable price and I will help with transport if neccessary, no problem. As for parts, if you don't see it in the picture feel free to ask. If you do see it in the picture then PM me with what you are looking for, what picture it's in, and I will have to ask everyone to be honest and give me a roundabout price because I really don't know. I'm not looking to get rich here I just want to get my grandma some money to help out. I will assist with any hauling/shipping that I can reasonably help with. I have a truck and trailer and I like to drive.

You can probably get the best prices selling on ebay.

Can anyone tell me why the Charger 12 would have the motor from an Electra 12? My "master model list" I have doesnt list that motor it has under the Charger 12. It doesn't appear to be swapped but who knows.
