skrusins 128 #1 Posted June 29, 2013 Hi, I've been doing a search in RS for a p/n for a gator blade I found several different numbers. Oregon 96-303, 90-714, 90-643, I would like to know if anybody knows the correct number. Thanks in advance
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,243 #2 Posted June 29, 2013 The only one I see on a list I made is the 90-643 which replaces Wheel Horse/Toro blade # 106077 and 106636 3-blade set that fit the side discharge decks. Have a 3/4" round hole. (Oregon # 91-805 13-27/32in. regular blade) (Oregon Gator Mulcher # 90-943 13-27/32in.) (Oregon Gator Mulcher 3-in-1 # 90-643 13-27/32in.) What is the original Toro blade number for your deck or the deck model number? What dimensions are the holes? 3/4" round or 5/8"x3/4" double-D shaped hole? hbrooks49 12 #3 Posted June 29, 2013 The gator blades that came off my 42 inch rear discharge deck were listed for a Dixie Chopper. Oregon blade number 90-714. They measure 14-1/2" diagonal and have a 3/4 inch center. hole. Hope this helps out. They worked fine and I plan to sharpen them and use them as spares. In tall grass the regular blades seem to give me a better cut.
skrusins 128 #4 Posted July 1, 2013 Thanks I checked 90-714 on Oregon's web site, and it's not available. Evidently nobody else is using gator blades anymore. I have had good luck using them in the past on all the equipment I owned.
Fordiesel69 267 #5 Posted July 2, 2013 What are gator blades? Do they improve the cut or something. Or do they just last longer?
