I have seen the "turbine" wheels before...It was for running on snow & water....Don't remember what was powering it though.

Any clue from the ad as to what exactly it's supposed to be?

I saw a picture of something similar that Ford had done with a tractor back maybe 60-70 years ago to run in the snow. Not sure how well it worked.

What a Mudder that would be, twin screws turning; only problem is where the heck would you mount the mower deck? :laughing-rolling:   :ROTF:         :text-coolphotos: .

Thanks for sharing that.

That came from OH, there was a guy there who built all kinds of crazy things, all out of Wheel Horses.  He had an auction about 5-6 years ago and all the toys got sold.  There was a forklift made out of an extension ladder, a half-track, a road grader, this crazy screw-drive thing and others.  I  feel like there were about a dozen total.  Maybe Brrrly or Nick can say something... I seem to recall one of them lived just down the road from the guy.

Edit... found an old thread with a couple pics of some of the other stuff this guy built.

Good Lawd, that's awesome video!  BUT, I gotta say, that man whippin' that horse should be shot.  Just cuz the horse ain't got wheels is no reason to whip the poor creature!

Why did you post that . . .  now I just want it for my yard in the snow and I'm wearing a necktie when I run it.  My wife saw me looking at the post and although a WH supporter, I got the :angry-nono:  . . . Hmmm, buy another puppy

Look at the link I put in my last some old pictures of his other builds.....

I just found the only picture I can find of the forklift built from an extension ladder.  I think I had more, but they must have been on an older long-gone computer

This pic is from one of the ebay ads after the auction was over.  A bunch of the projects got sold at the auction and were on ebay the next week.
