chip61 658 #5 Posted June 26, 2013 I saw a picture of something similar that Ford had done with a tractor back maybe 60-70 years ago to run in the snow. Not sure how well it worked.

CasualObserver 3,408 #12 Posted June 26, 2013 That came from OH, there was a guy there who built all kinds of crazy things, all out of Wheel Horses. He had an auction about 5-6 years ago and all the toys got sold. There was a forklift made out of an extension ladder, a half-track, a road grader, this crazy screw-drive thing and others. I feel like there were about a dozen total. Maybe Brrrly or Nick can say something... I seem to recall one of them lived just down the road from the guy. Edit... found an old thread with a couple pics of some of the other stuff this guy built.

CasualObserver 3,408 #19 Posted June 26, 2013 Look at the link I put in my last some old pictures of his other builds..... I just found the only picture I can find of the forklift built from an extension ladder. I think I had more, but they must have been on an older long-gone computer This pic is from one of the ebay ads after the auction was over. A bunch of the projects got sold at the auction and were on ebay the next week.
