access the rock shaft on a 416-8

I would like to try my grader blade on my 416. What is the easiest way to access the rock shaft? I am thinking the lower dash panel, maybe?

Yes -- Take the dash panel off -- Just remember to be careful with the ignition wiring -- Probably best to disconnect your battery ground -- I blew fuses the last time I got in there

It's not fun, but when I do mine I do it from underneath and use long needle nose pliers to put the clip in with. Once you get it on, you may not want to ever take it off, but like anything, if you do it a couple times it gets easier.

Thanks guys. I think that I will try it from underneath first. I don't want to take a chance around the wires!

I leave the grader blade lift link on all the time...it doesn't get in the way of my 42 or 48 deck...and yes, it is kind ofa pain but like others said, gets easier each time you do it..
