Recommended Posts

Who is the owner of the articulating 520-H that was photographed on multiple occasions at last weekend's show?? -- Don't think I have seen that one before -- Is it a new creation??

It belongs to chevelletown (Ken in Indiana) and was built by Bob Rock.  I think this show was it's initial outing.

There are several pics in the 2013 Show pictures -- It would be worth your time to go digging for them -- Besides articulating it has eight (8) Ag tires; quadruple dual AGs

I think the first picture I saw this past weekend was in Craig's "Got Duals" topic -- Obviously Craig liked it (WHOOPS; my mistake Craig added pictures of a C-195 with Duals; not the aforementiond 520-H)

Dave, Jason is correct (as usual) the 520 Articulated is a Bob Rock creation that he custom built for me. The project was started 2 years ago and now that it has made its debut I'll do a build thread on it. There are several contribuitors that need to be thanked, but this tractor would not exist if not for Bob. Pics to come soon.

Having seen it in person (and taking it for a drive) I can tell you that it is completely awesome from flexible end to flexible end. Bob and Ken have really raised the bar with this one! :icecream:

Ken, does Dave have a web site? I've been putting together, plans for an articulated tractor. I've been looking at Don Campbell's creations to get assistance with the fabrication portion of the build. But he is so busy with all the projects he is working on, I'm not sure when he would have time.

BTW, the detail in the 520, was fabulous.

I agree, the detail on the articulating 520 is incredible! It looks like a 100% factory job.

Here it is. I have tractor envy. It's on the home screen of my phone. Probably should have taken a few more to get detail, but you get the idea.

So how much will the tractor be able to pull with all of that traction -- I am remined of the YouTube videos of the articulated 400 series John Deere that pull a 3 bottom plow

I don't have a website- been tossing that idea around a bit. But anyone interested in articulated GT's can find me on Facebook. My builds are Not limited to WheelHorse. Look me up under Robert Rock in Mich. Send a Friend Request-and also a regular  message letting me know you are from RS -once I add you- I have some albums you will have to dig through to find everything I have done to date- with the exception of Kens 520-which I will not be posting any build pics of until he has done his own build thread here. Once he completes that I'm sure he will be happy to answer your questions and so will I!

I've admired your builds for sometime Bob - and you inspired me to build my own. Thanks for accepting my friend request, look forward to looking through your build pictures.
