Wheelhorsestory 210 #1 Posted June 23, 2013 I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of compliments on my final edition. It was a real thrill to see the faces of everyone when I handed them their books at the show. It was truly a huge project that consumed my life, but was a labor of love and strong desire to pay homage to Cecil Pond. Many people have asked me how many were printed. Here are the production numbers for the three editions. First Edition: 4000 Second Edition: 4500 Final Edition: 2100 The Final Edition is limited due to the high production costs that went in to making it a high quality lasting tribute to Elmer and Cecil. As I mentioned, I wanted to keep the cost reasonable with the highest quality possible. I don't want to see people selling them at ridiculous prices on Ebay so that was another reason for the lower production number. The books are being purchased faster than you can imagine and I strongly encourage everyone to get a it now. Although not intended to be a collectable, the first two editions are in such demand, image how desirable this Final Edition will be with a smaller production total and having exposure on Red Square, The Wheel Horse Collector's Club site, as well as a beautiful article in Lawn and Garden Tractor Collector Magazine. I signed every book even if you purchased it on line, however, I did write personal messages in hundreds of books at the show. Thanks to everyone for being part of the best hobby on earth. I know Cecil and Elmer Pond are looking down upon us with amazement and appreciation. I just hope I made them proud. Michael

Marv 919 #6 Posted June 23, 2013 Two important things I wanted to do at the show, "accomplished". I wanted to get your new book to go with the second edition I purchased at a previous show. Nice job Mike. I also wanted to meet Terry The Vinyl Guy and get some decals. Now how good can it get to have you two side by side. To top it all off we had a great show and I met some other people too. Thanks Marvin

zieg72 209 #13 Posted June 30, 2013 (edited) I am not a book reader by any means, actually have only read 1 book cover to cover in my life. I was very surprised how heavy the book is. So far it is a very enjoyable read. Thanks for making this known here so I could purchase a copy. I have tried on several occasions to go after one of the previous additions on eBay with no luck. Very glad I didn't. Edited July 1, 2013 by zieg72

Wheelhorsestory 210 #16 Posted July 12, 2013 I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. It seems there is never enough time to devote to the tractors due to work, yard chores, and family time. That is one of the reasons I think people have enjoyed this book so much. It allows us to spend time with the hobby of collecting Wheel Horse tractors while sitting in our recliners. It can be 10:00pm in the middle of winter and you can become immersed into the hobby. For me however, it has been these 95 degree humid days that I just enjoy kicking back and enjoying the book. I still have books remaining, but I wouldn't procrastinate.
