Anglo Traction 761 #101 Posted March 28, 2014 Haven't looked in for a while. Good to see your making progress Mark. Tyres look the same as my Duros . Great find on the Engine. Will you need a Tensioner on the Drive Transfer Chain like the C4?. Fab Fabbing and design .

meadowfield 2,570 #103 Posted March 29, 2014 Wow looking great mark! Wil this one have a 3point? Koen Verstuurd vanaf mijn GT-S6810P met Tapatalk Thanks...nEventually yes! Haven't looked in for a while. Good to see your making progress Mark. Tyres look the same as my Duros . Great find on the Engine. Will you need a Tensioner on the Drive Transfer Chain like the C4?. Fab Fabbing and design . Same duro as yours Richard, hoping engine is a good one. Drive will be similar to the C4, though I might be changing the bearing I did last night Green and red reminds me of Meccano rather than Lego. That's my dad's old norlett gearbox....hence the green :D

meadowfield 2,570 #106 Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) Lots and lots of lathe work over the last few weeks... Turning out another brake drum took time - hard work from the rear turning cast steel. On the last of the threads cut to hold the two halves together I broke a tap that's the first one I've broken in forever. I guess it had done its time. I tried the old way of welding a stud through a washer but it kept shearing the stud above the washer. No choice but to cut a fresh hole and thread. Dry run showing elevated drive, clearing front drum quite nicely. I made a start on the steering, this 1972 VW beetle steering box will do quite nicely Making a bracket to mount it vertically is interesting!! That's it for now, more goodies on the way. Yet another change of plan on the drive. I've ordered two hardy spicer UJ's which I think are the way to go. The change of plan means I have to reverse the drive though :( Edited April 7, 2014 by meadowfield

meadowfield 2,570 #109 Posted April 12, 2014 Distracted with lots of other things at the moment, but managed a few hours with the grinder and lathe... Turning this Into this It's the front prop shaft bearing holder and flange. Still got the keyway to cut and mounting holes to do. On jollies for a week, so there will be zero progress for a while. :D
