Jacksonbros 55 #1 Posted June 2, 2013 We are wanting to turn a tractor into a pulling tractor. My dad and I have a C-175. Would this be a good starter? If so, can I buy a bolt-on kit for the wheelie bars and hitch or should I build them?
baerpath 517 #2 Posted June 2, 2013 First you need to know what the rules are for where you want to pull. Is your 175 a hydro or standard? You can buy a hitch on ebay or make your own, The wheely bars I haven't seen anyone making but there not hard to make or have made
Jacksonbros 55 #3 Posted June 2, 2013 It's a standard transmission. Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.
thehorseman 0 #4 Posted June 9, 2013 and depending on how much weight you plan on puling make sure you have a 8 pinion tranny. i learned the hard way that 4 pinion trannys are weak and no good for pulling.
Powernut69 0 #5 Posted June 14, 2013 How do you tell the difference between transmissions?
thehorseman 0 #6 Posted June 16, 2013 to be honest you have to ask some more expierenced guys on this forum. but the axels have either 1 in or 1 1/8 diameter.
