I am picking this up this weekend from a co worker ive owned alot of horses but nothing like this its a 416-8 with an original kwik way loader tags from wh are on it! Only thing im not in love with is the onan i probablly will end up putting just the tractor up for trade for something with a kohler. Itll be a.blast to use it im sure.

Don't let the Onan scare you. I was leary to get anything but a Kohler, but after having my 520 I couldn't be more impressed. It's the smoothest and strongest engine I've ever owned in a tractor.

Ummmm... Nevermind. I see you have a 520-8.

Congrats on your find!

You'll like the power and sound of that Onan so much you won't be trading it. You're use to those short frames and you will see what everyone else already knows about the bigger tractors. :handgestures-thumbsup:

phone014.jpgNice loader, but it's not a Kwik-Way. It's a Ark Loader. Looks like a 550 Ark, I have got the same loader on a C-141

Wheel Horse used a few different loaders through the years. The Ark was used in the mid to late 70's. Not sure when Kwik-way started making them for Wheel Horse. Now I am not an expert on WH Loaders but is sure looks like mine. Look for a metal tag riveted to the right upright post. Should be toward the top on the inside of the post. As far as I know, all the KW loaders I have seen have rounded buckets and different sub-frames. Like I said the Loader looks Identical to mine, Mine is a Ark. I have a friend who has a Kwik-Way and I like the Ark better. The KW are nice and better in some ways but I don't think they are built as heavy.

Nice pick up! Good to see you found something you like. I would not change a thing! Keep it mounted as it it and run with the onan !! The only reason I would consider putting the loader on another horse is the fact that machine is an 8 speed. Hydro with foot control works best with a loader.

Great looking machine!  Keep that Onan! You can replace it when (and if) it dies! :handgestures-thumbupright: :handgestures-thumbupright:

Definitly an Ark Loader. I undestand the Onan change out completely.

As I understand; the biggest problem with the Onan was the "splash lubrication" system, people that drove/mowed on an angle and slopes a lot didn't get enough lubrication in the engine -- but staying on mostly level ground gave no problems.

I think you got the Onan mixed up with the Kohler series I that was used on the C175's. Onan have a pressure system.

Yep that's a Ark Loader for sure.

If your talking about the pump for the loader are you talking about the seal around the input shaft? if so it's probably a common seal. If the pump is a Cessna pump I don't believe they are made anymore. A hydo shop could probably get what you need.
