TECKY TROUBLE SOLVED!

Recommended Posts

illinilefttackle

Hello Guys-you may remember I sold the restored 656 I had-but with a Honda Clone engine on it. I had to take the Tecky off-it kept losing spark. Quite sometime ago, I got a electronic converter kit from Jacksmallengine co-it eliminates the points,condensor-uses old coil. I had forgotten about it-I put it on this HH-60 and Wah La-SPARK!  Now that I have done one-I know I could do it in 30 min including the flywheel. Just a possible fix for any of you Tecky faithful out there!  I'm going to post this engine in the Classifieds for anyone in need.  Got to fill up the accounts for Foster KIds again! It is a factory short block-used it 3 seasons-never used a drop of oil.-Thanks-Al

I used an external coil on my vh60 on the deere rather than using the magneto in it after going through an entire day of headaches after rebuilding it. It always fires right up now. I am planning to do the same thing on the lawn ranger, but what you used on this engine would be a lot easier to hide. Could you share the link to it?

Jake
