Michcruiser60 0 #1 Posted December 5, 2007 Guys, I guess I'm slow sometimes. I just noticed this "other brands" section. I kinda wished I'd seen it before I posted this tractor in my first post. Sorry. This is my Roths Country Boy. I think it's a 1956. The best I can find is, they were built between 1948-1956. Roths built two wheel and four wheel tractors. Built in Alama Michigan. I've only ran across one other and that was at the Buckley MI show this year. I think our S/N's were off by 25 or 26, mine being the older. It was great to see another tractor like it. It's got a 8hp Kohler that uses a 6 volt system. I have that engine in the garage. It needs rebuilt.
Michcruiser60 0 #2 Posted December 5, 2007 If you look at his tractor (on the right side of picture) you can see it has a Wisconsin engine. It is a taller engine. Look under his grill you can see a spacer for clearance. My undersytanding is that Roths offered three sizes 6.6, 8-1/2, 9 hp. Engines could be Wisconsin, Clinton, or Kohler. When I bought mine I got the front plow and moldboard plow.
Jim_M 179 #3 Posted December 5, 2007 That's a nice tractor. I'm not alone anymore! I have some odd stuff packed away in the barn also.
Greg B. 1 #4 Posted December 5, 2007 Michcruiser, That beast looks positively lethal. I love it!! When you go to Buckley, next year, look up Clover Mckinley. She's a member of the steam organization and an all round nice lady. Greg B.
Rollerman 290 #5 Posted December 6, 2007 Never seen or heard of them before. Neat haveing a unique model isn't it? The seat looks like it be hard on the back! I like the rear implement lift...like a 2 link setup. Stephen in northern IN
